Again, over the past 10 years I’ve written and posted many Biblical Viewpoints on common Christmas seasonal questions that I’ve always wondered about myself. As I’ve matured and studied over my lifetime, I’ve discovered answers that actually helped solidify my faith and understanding of the Bible, Jesus, and God’s ways, means, and purpose.
Here are 4 more good questions and answers.

#1 Who Are These 2 People?
While there are many commonly known elements of the Christmas story, there’s a fascinating little adjunct story that is often overlooked. It takes place shortly after Jesus’ physical birth. Only weeks later, perhaps when Jesus is only 2 months old, when parents Joseph and Mary take their newborn child into Jerusalem and into the temple to be dedicated to God. It’s easy to pass over the incidents that occur here and consider them merely odd and anecdotal. But read them carefully and see how profound they really are!

So we know that many people will get a real dose of Christmas stories that involve supernatural dreams and visions associated with the birth of Jesus. Actually, there are 8 uniquely fascinating dream and vision encounters involving 5 different persons/groups. In fact, the Christmas Story ctually is a profound mosaic of uncanny occurrences that need to be considered or reconsidered.

#3 Are You Confused by Christmas Prophecy?
With the Christmas season comes the common citing of Biblical passages that inspire and encourage. At the same time, close examination of these verses may cause some confusion. All of the types, shadows and symbols of the Old Testament, including the land of Israel, the city of Jerusalem, and the temple of God, have been fulfilled in the baby we celebrate at Christmastime, the Holy Christ.
Do you fully understand all of the symbolism and fulfillment wrapped up in the Christmas story?
#4 So What About Hanukkah?
Yes, Hanukkah and the Christmas Story go hand in hand. Do you understand the distinction? Hanukkah, sometimes called the Feast of Dedication or the Feast of Lights, is an eight-day celebration to commemorate the re-dedication of the Temple in 164 B.C. The celebration involves the lighting of candles each night on a nine-branch menorah, singing hymns, eating special food, and even exchanging gifts. But how does this tie to Christmas?
Can you relate to both Hanukkah and Christmas?
And again, may your continued curiosity and exploration of these questions grow your faith and make this season even more meaningful to you and yours.
Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. – Luke 2:25-26
